Annamária is from Barabás in Hungary, the most Eastern part of the country right on the border with Ukraine. This is a field blend of Hárslevelű, Királyleányka, Riesling (40%) and Furmint (60%). The concentration, clean, precise character is outstanding. With the Hárslevelű, Királyleányka, Riesling from her old vineyards planted way back in the 70s, it is great to see this kind of energy and complexity in the wine. Soils for these and the Furmint from her collaboration with a grower in Mád, from Tokaj region are a combination of volcanic rhyolite, andesite soils with a clay loam top soil.
