The Magula family in Slovakia do a vibrant, juicy expression of the Modrý Portugal (Blauer Portuguiser) grape. A variety that takes really well to a method of winemaking called 'carbonic maceration', where the process gives wines that are super fresh, drinkable, and yet have a firm texture, and long finish is what makes the wine really special.
