Petr Koráb Veltliner 2022

Petr Koráb's wines are some of the most exciting and thought out. Petr has a sense of creativity and approaches each vintage without any preconceived ideas, rather he lets the natural expression of the grapes guide him to make wines in that particular vintage.

His Veltliner is a single varietal Grüner Vetliner - a grape that has been one of the most important white varieties in Central Europe. It can age gracefully, but also make wines that can be enjoyed earlier. There are different expressions winemakers achieve with it. Some can be simpler in their personality but this one by Petr is anything but that, it definitely comes in the more elegant, complex and wine that can match so many different flavours and keep a real strong character.

Grapes are from a 50-year-old vineyard on sandy-limestone soil. Maceration on the skins for 24 hours.

Fermentation and subsequent maturation without intervention in acacia wood. In the aroma and taste you can find linden flower, slightly bitter almonds, pepper, asparagus, green peas. Suitable for salty starters, oysters, sea fish.

Organic, biodynamic farming, natural winemaking.

ABV:  12%
