This wine is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc. Petr Nejedlik the winemaker and grower was the first Moravian grower who decided to start working with qvevris. This traditional, ancient vessel comes from Georgia, and it took Petr several years to get his qvevris made from one of the most repected Georgian winemaking families.
This wine starts as a Sherry, think of a manzanilla, moves in to a skinsy orangey goodness, and then moves on to a harmonious expression on the mid palate and the finish is high - freshness, saline, and radiance! Superb, given it also has some good number of years in the bottle.
